Thank goodness, Ed has posted again on his blog. I was starting to get worried. Go check out his new post, leave a comment of support, and breathe a sigh of relief!

Warfighter Updated

Just wanted to post another holla over at Ed's War Log. He's gotten the chance to update a bit. And let me tell you...it's pretty exciting reading.

If you do head over and read some of his posts, be awesome and post a comment. As someone who's been blogging for a while, it really makes a difference when people leave a quick comment, and I think that will be doubly true when you're stuck in a combat zone, risking your life.

So leave him something to know you took the time to drop in. Even something as simple as, "Hi, Ed." would be great.

I really hope everyone who visits Felix.Ruina will support Ed's work. I'm guessing his internet time is hard to come by, so I really want it to be worth his while to continue writing.

Thanks!

Ed's New Blog

My buddy Ed (You remember Ed, right?) who is off serving our country in Iraq right now just started up his own blog. He's going to do his best to keep us all up to date on how he's doing. I'm really excited to start reading what kinds of things he'll have to write.

So, because I know you also want to keep up-to-date with Ed, go and check out his new site hosted right here on felixruina at: http://felixruina.com/ej.

We've just gotten the blog started, so expect a lot of work to be going on over there during the next few weeks, so check back often! You can also subscribe to Ed's RSS feed at http://felixruina.com/ej/feed/ and have his updates sent to you!

Here's the video from Ed's visit here that I promised you a week ago. In it, Ed tries ikura or salmon egg sushi for the first time. :)

EJ Chronicles

Ed arrived in Tokyo on Monday the 13th. Dutifully, I took the train down to pick him up. He was in remarkably good shape, considering his flight ended up being a few hours delayed, and he had just come back from over a month of military training before flying off to Japan.

After getting things done in the airport (like changing money and getting Ed's Rail Pass), we took the train to see our friend, Mikeal, in Tateyama, in Chiba (about 2 hours outside of Tokyo-proper). I had never been to Tateyama before, so I was pretty excited, and I wasn't to be disappointed.
